part of the nationwide Swachhotsav campaign. The procession commenced at 7:00
AM from the historic Sanganeri Gate and concluded at the revered Govind Dev Ji
Temple, with over 500 participants including department officers, their
families, CA professionals, and Rotary Club members. Marchers carried banners
promoting cleanliness and environmental responsibility, showcasing a collective
commitment to a clean and green India. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble MP
Smt. Manju Sharma, who stressed that Swachh Bharat is not just a government
mission but a shared responsibility of every citizen. Senior leadership, led by
Sh. Sumeet Kumar, Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, along with DGIT
(Investigation) Jaipur Smt. Renu Amitabh and Commissioner of Income Tax Sh.
Shailendra Sharma, actively participated, reinforcing the department’s
dedication to the national cleanliness mission. In his concluding remarks, Sh.
Sumeet Kumar emphasized that the Prabhat Pheri was a clear signal of the Income
Tax Department’s commitment to a clean India. He highlighted that active
community participation is pivotal to realizing Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a
Swachh Bharat, also endorsed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Drawing inspiration
from the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashmi, he urged participants to view the
day as a triumph of good over evil and to “slay the Rāvaṇa of filth” in their surroundings. Sh. Kumar
further encouraged everyone to pledge not to create dirt themselves nor allow
others to do so, thereby contributing to a cleaner, healthier future for the
nation. The event stood as a powerful demonstration of social responsibility,
inspiring citizens and officials alike to integrate cleanliness initiatives
into their daily lives and reaffirm their commitment to building a cleaner and
greener India.
